Meet Rémy Motte at the International Heritage Fair, Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, from 29 October to 1 November 2026.

Every year, at the end of October, we head to Paris for the International Heritage Fair, held at the Carrousel du Louvre. Once again, we will be there from 29 October to 1 November 2026. Four days of meetings, demonstrations and conversations centred on what we are passionate about: preserving our heritage and passing it on to future generations.

A must-attend event for heritage enthusiasts

Organised by Ateliers d’Art de France, the International Heritage Fair has brought together more than 300 exhibitors at the Carrousel du Louvre for over 30 years, showcasing restoration, traditional crafts and the preservation and enhancement of built and movable heritage. More than 40 different trades are represented, including gilders, cabinetmakers, conservators, glassmakers, blacksmiths, plasterers, upholsterers, heritage companies, schools and associations.

Visitors include owners of historic properties, architects, interior designers, students and passionate heritage enthusiasts. It is a unique opportunity to discuss materials, craftsmanship and history with the people who keep these traditions alive every day.

“Heritage in the Light”: the theme of the 31st edition

For 2026, the fair puts light in the spotlight. Whether functional, artistic or symbolic, light reveals the beauty of materials, enhances architectural volumes and brings the history of a place to life. It is a theme that resonates deeply with our craft: antique wood panelling, patinated surfaces and gilding can only reveal their full depth and character when properly illuminated.

Restored light fittings, bronze work, stained glass, verre églomisé (reverse-painted gilded glass), faceted chandeliers and more will showcase the many traditional crafts associated with light throughout the fair, including an exclusive piece displayed right at the entrance.

On the programme: talks, demonstrations and awards

The fair also offers a rich programme of events, including:

  • More than 30 talks and panel discussions led by industry experts.

  • Traditional craftsmanship demonstrations, including some exceptionally rare skills: three of Europe's last four gold beaters will be brought together this year.

  • Award ceremonies, including the VMF–AAF “Craftsmanship & Heritage” Award.

  • A dedicated training area for traditional crafts, for those wishing to learn a new skill or retrain for a career in the sector.

A look back at last year's fair

Last year, we spent four days at the fair, and it was a real honour to share our passion and discuss our craft with so many people who care deeply about heritage. We were also delighted to welcome guests committed to protecting France's heritage to our stand, including Stéphane Bern and Brigitte Macron.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to see us, and to the fair organisers for these wonderful moments filled with conversation, discovery and emotion.
